Alpenglow Outfitters

This project is an exercise promoting a fictional outdoor gear store. I wanted to play around with warm-toned colors, logo design, and took inspiration from topographic maps. I chose the name Alpenglow for my love of the setting sun on the Wasatch mountains.

Logo Design

Above are variations of the logo I created for Alpenglow. I love the interaction and angles of the letters, which evoke jagged mountain ridges.

In-Feed Carousel

Above is an example of a static in-feed social carousel post. I built these assets using stock photography, and copy that I developed to fit these photographs. I wanted to play with the interaction of the photos with contour lines of maps, invoking exploration and outdoor play.

In-Feed Videos & Stories

Above are in-feed videos and stories I built using stock footage. I wanted to show the contour lines being drawn on screen, as if the hikers’ movements are bringing them to life. I also utilized a posterized time effect to convey the feeling of taking and layering snapshots of a hike.
